Adaptive Watersports
Day at the Lake
Join us for our annual Day at the Lake event. We will have opportunities for individuals with spinal cord injuries, amputations, and other disabilities to water ski, kayak, fish and take boat rides.
Day at the Lake, 2024, will be Friday, July 12 from 9am to 4pm at Crows Creek Park at Smithville Lake. The address is:

Participants
Participants need to be at least 13 years old and at least 1 year post initial injury to water ski. All participants regardless of age and date of disability can participate in al the other activities. Admission for the day is free for individuals with disabilities and a guest.
Please register, sign both release forms and the participant information form below. You will not be allowed to participate, if you do not fill out the first 3 forms below. The first link (DATL Registration) should lead you to all the other forms automatically.
Things to know:

We ask that all volunteers and water craft providers arrive by 8:00am. There will be a mandatory volunteer meeting at 8:10am under the big tent. All volunteers must attend this mandatory meeting. Water craft providers will have a second mandatory meeting at 8:30. Water craft providers, please come with you water craft already full of gas. The Smithville Marina is aware of our event and will keep a tab of fuel refills during the day.

All volunteer, exhibitors, guests and participants must check in and have a wrist band. No exceptions.

Water activities will start at 9:00am wrapping up around 4:00pm.

Park fees have been waived for Day at the Lake attendees (FREE), so please let the booth attendant at the entrance know that you are there for Day at the Lake.

Each participant is allowed to bring one guest free of charge. Additional guest may attend for $5.00 per person. No pets allowed with the exception of service animals.

Lunch will be provided, and bottled water will be available throughout the day as well.

Please bring your own sunscreen, towels and personal floating device if needed. Make sure to clearly mark your floating device with your name. Midwest Adaptive Sports is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Exhibitors, please arrive by 8:30. You will have an 8 foot exhibit table under the big tent, along with 2 chairs. Two exhibit staff are allowed for lunch, additional person will be charged $5.00 each.

Participants, Exhibitors and Volunteers will have one T-Shirt each. Guests can purchase T-Shirts if available.
